It has been just over one month since our industry reached what I called a “tipping point,” which intensified on the heels of the Oscars. In an effort to be responsive to a beleaguered community and sincerely offer our leadership, we issued an open letter calling for increased subsidies in California and a public VFX Congress. In the days and weeks since then, visibility on the changing visual effects industry has increased dramatically. And during that time, we have received a good deal of feedback on our suggestions – both positive and negative.
Given what we have learned, I want to underscore a few important points:

5G networks are the next generation of mobile internet connectivity, offering faster speeds and more reliable connections on smartphones and other devices than ever before.
Combining cutting-edge network technology and the very latest research, 5G should offer connections that are multitudes faster than current connections, with average download speeds of around 1GBps expected to soon be the norm.
Industry players claim 5G can be 100 times faster than 4G and that a huge number of devices will be able to connect to the network simultaneously.
This will enable self-driving vehicles to talk to each other in real time: they’ll know when another car is changing lanes or braking and can adjust to manage traffic accordingly.

A mirror system (Image Multiplier) in the K|Lens splits the light rays into 9 separate images that are mapped on the camera sensor. All 9 of these images have slightly different perspectives. The best way to picture it is if you imagine using 9 separate cameras in a narrow array at the same time.
